Fast forward through yet another move on the square, I was honored to occupy the most beautiful, historic, Richardson building from 2018 to 2021, at the corner of E. Louisiana & Tennessee Streets.  Wishful Thinking was on a roll, growing and thriving, until the pandemic hit us just as it did the entire square.  It was during this time that I had to rethink my working 7 days per week while facing all the future uncertainties.  I wanted to return to a simpler time, with less stress and more freedom to focus on my love of jewelry making.

So, in February, 2021, I downsized Wishful Thinking by 10 times and now occupy a vendor space inside the Painted Tree Marketplace in Frisco, TX.  It is a mini version of the same wonderful lines and designs that made it so popular on the McKinney square.  The only thing missing on a day-to-day basis is my Wishful Thinking Jewelry.   However, as I create it in my new private studio/workshop, I will make it available for sale in my space from time to time as a special shopping event.  I also hope to make this website an official shopping option ASAP!

Thank you for your patience as I work to make that happen!

Thank you for viewing this site!  Whether you live in the DFW area or plan to travel here, I hope you will visit Wishful Thinking at The Painted Tree.  It is my heartfelt wish to make yours come true!

The story

We are currently working on improving our website to allow you to shop.  Your patience is appreciated.

Hello!  I'm Patty Streber, hailing from Rochester, NY.  My husband Skip and I have been married for almost 50 years and have 3 great sons.   We are so blessed with their families and 4 amazing grand-children.  Throughout the years I've tried my hands at many arts and crafts,  but none have been as satisfying & rewarding as jewelry making.

September 10, 2001 was the launch date for Wishful Thinking jewelry from my home in Long Island, NY.   For six years, I partnered with many stores in the local area and around our second home on Cape Cod.

We moved to McKinney, TX in 2007, and I opened my first retail space in 2010, on the historic McKinney square as a dealer inside Home & Garden Trading Co.  In 2013, I joined forces with two dear friends from H&G to open The Crystal Cloche.  We

continued to operate our three businesses under this successful "umbrella" until it was evident that we had outgrown the space.

I considered retirement until an opportunity arose in 2016, that enabled me to relocate to a single space across the square.  It included room for retail space as well as a dream-come-true jewelry making studio.  After 15 years, it was truly an indescribable thrill to create an official "home" for Wishful Thinking1
